I bet you didn't know that your humble Ornament and Crime module also has a punchy drum voice in it! Bugcrack was introduced in the Benispheres firmware suite and carried forward into Phazerville. It updates the original BootsNCats drum applet to make it more punchy, boomy and snappy. The kicks from Bugcrack really have punch to them, and the snare sounds are tight.

In this tutorial I'll walk through how Bugcrack works, explain what the parameters do to adjust how the drum voices sound, and give lots of patch ideas along the way while making some hitting drum grooves.
