Jason Efstathiou, MD, DPhil, Harvard Medical School, Boston, MA, comments remaining hurdles in the management of highrisk localized and locally advanced prostate cancer. Despite clinicians needing to accurately define highrisk localized prostate cancer, there have been advances in imaging techniques such as PSMA CT scans and regional lymph node staging. Additional areas of debate include the role of surgery and dose escalation in radiotherapy, especially in light of findings from the FLAME trial (NCT01168479). This interview took place at the 2024 Advanced Prostate Cancer Consensus Conference (APCCC) in Lugano, Switzerland.
