In Bahraich today, 23 illegal structures are being demolished by bulldozers. The owners of these illegal buildings were given a notice by the administration 7 days ago, based on a High Court order to remove the illegal encroachments. Today, the district administration is carrying out the demolition process. The buildings being torn down were illegally constructed on pathways and agricultural land. The structures in question, located in the village of Saraijagna in the Fakharpur police station area, were illegally built by members of a particular community. In view of potential unrest during the operation, the SubDivisional Magistrate (SDM) requested 1 platoon of PAC (Provincial Armed Constabulary) from the police administration.
