Hi & welcome to East Coast Sailing. I just wanted to thank viewers who have watched the previous video of us getting caught in a bad squall and all the kind words and advice. This video gives a brief update on the damaged we sustained as well as a lucky find on some sails we found tucked away in the boat. As we couldn't sail last weekend, I went through every locker and cubby hole on the boat which revealed a set of sails in the front lockers and some were brand new. I hadn't had time to check the boat over fully as I have only owned the boat just over a month and we struck gold on finding a old genoa to use temporarily while I get a new one made. The video also delves into the initial cause of the head sail furling mechanism to jam. Hopefully this will inspire viewers to do a simple check when you have no winds to prevent the same thing happening to you.
Thanks for watching!
