Updating the TX16s to EdgeTX 2.9.4

I am not a professional or expert with EDGE TX, Im failure and have some experience with Open TX as well. So I am sharing my upgrade experience to prove it’s really not that hard to do.
If you do run into difficulty I would recommend going to the EDGETX GitHub for into and support.
Ask questions in the comment section and I will do my best to find answers for you and also hope that you will share your knowledge with others as well.

Steps
1. Be sure to charge your battery
2. Connect Radio
3. Create storage folder
4. Back up SD Card
5. Disconnect and turn off the radio
6. Download necessary files

* TOP OF THE PAGE IT MAY HAVE THE MOST RECENT RELEASE if os click it
* If not scroll down the page to see the most recent release
* Click on Release notes for the version you would like to download
* You’re welcome to read through the information on the page (recommended if your new to do so even before starting the upgrade)
* Scroll down to assets and click first on the Edge TX companion and down load the new version for the computer system you are using (OSX for Me which is for Mac)
* Click on Edge TX at the top of the screen
* Scroll down to Repositories
* Click on Edgtxsoundcard
* Make a note of the appropriate file for your radio
* Mine is c408x272.zip
* Scroll down to preparing your SD Card and click the releases page
* Download the appropriate file
* Click back on Edge TX at the top of the page and scroll down repositories to themes
* Look down in the readme section for the download
* There is also a theme creator and photo shop template I will be checking out in the future (AWESOME)
7. Unzip all files in the folder you have created.
* Note you may want to put a folder on your desktop to work from with all the downloaded files in it.
* This way you can delete them as they are completed.
8. Install Companion on you machine (you do not have to but sense you have it just install it and it will be ready for use later
* Just know that on a MAC it may not want to open just right click the icon and click open there and it should open fine.
* We will revisit companion in the future. But it’s not currently needed at this point.
* We will also be flashing the internal ELRS Module in the future as well. (So be sure to hit subscribe)
9. Move new files to SD Card
1. Reconnect the Radio and open the appropriate folder
2. Start with copying over the firmware file (TX16s77884b6.bin)
* be sure to chose the correct file for your radio
3. Now for theSD Card contents folder folder C480X272
4. I even took time to copy over some of my previous model photo files and Splash Screen!
10. Disconnect the radio from your computer
11. Open boot loader on the radio pushing T1 and T4 in and restart the radio.
12. Click Write Firmware
13. Select the Firmware to install
14. Click Exit and then go back to the information screen on the radio to verify the correct Firmware version

I truly hope this video has been helpful. I truly think that the RadioMaster Tx16s is one of the best radios for serious beginners and professional RC pilots as well.
I will share other options for beginners in the future.
