Join me on a solo urban kayaking adventure along New York City’s stunning Harlem River. The journey begins at Inwood Hill Park in Manhattan where I head out on the Hudson River, eventually making my way into Spuyten Duyvil Creek and the Harlem River. As I paddle, we see Big C Rock, a landmark location that was originally painted by the Columbia University Rowing Team in 1952, multiple impressive bridges, Sherman Creek, and other urban sights and sounds. As usual, I had the river to myself and enjoyed every minute of the natural beauty mixed with the hustle and bustle of the city around me. I ran into a bit of a challenge getting off of the river, but with a little creativity and flexibility, I overcame the adversity.
