(16 Feb 2017) Uruguayan President Tabare Vazquez met Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow on Thursday during an official visit to the country.
Earlier in the day, Vazquez participated in a tribute and visited the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Moscow.
Both leaders discussed the two countries' ties and reinforced their "friendship," with Vazquez saying Russia and Uruguay "share the same values and principles."
