U.S. Marines Conduct Freefall Jumps During Baltic Operations
U.S. Marines with Bravo Company, 4th Reconnaissance Battalion, 4th Marine Division, conduct freefall jumps off a Kentucky Air National Guard C130J Super Hercules during exercise Baltic Operations (BALTOPS) 24 at Gotland, Sweden, June 7, 2024. Reconnaissance Marines conducted the freefall jumps as part of their insertion, contingency, and exfiltration training, enabling them to operate in austere environments. BALTOPS 24 is the premier maritimefocused exercise in the Baltic Region. This annual joint, multinational maritimefocused exercise, executed by NATO forces to provide opportunities to strengthen combined response capabilities necessary to preserve Baltic regional stability.
