You guys have challenged me to find what it would take to withstand and defeat a full Chinese Type 055 Destroyer Squadron. In this video I simulate using paired US and UK Carrier Strike Groups for the task. The Type 055 use their YJ21 hypersonic and YJ18 supersonic missiles, while the US and UK defend with SM3, SM6, SM2, ESSM and Aster missiles, then counter attack with F35 and Super Hornet firing LRASM, SPEAR 3 and MAKO missiles.
