/ loisdavidsonart   https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/OwlsAndF... Today's demo could easily be used for a Christmas or Holiday/Midwinter card design, paint it then print out your small copies to turn into card!
It's a loose frosty, misty evening landscape, using wet in wet technique, and salt to create these lovely frost patterns across the foreground, unpredictable and very exciting. Why not give it a try, and use any colours you like, it would be lovely in pastel blues and pinks etc.
I used a limited palette of Cotman indigo, burnt umber and paynes grey. I used ordinary fine table salt, various brushes including the extras large and medium Pro Arte Ron Ranson Hake brushes, 3/4" flat brush and a fine unbranded Chinese calligraphy brush, otherwise known as a rat liner. My board is at an angle of about 45 degrees tilt.
My paper is 100% cotton Saunders Waterford, cold pressed, 140lb/300g weight, 11" x 15"/28cm x 38cm. Thanks for watching, and happy painting!
