1. The Bluetooth receiver allows you to bypass the Helmet speaker requirement if you don't use a full face
2. If you have data on an iPhone, then you're all set. However, I'm an android guy so I used and old iPhone, loaded my apps and I'll use my android as a wifi hot spot while on the road.
3. There is another ( more expensive workaround to use the android directly *otterbox* but I went the thrifty route.
