In today's Alaska Homestead Expo Extra, we talk with Margaret Loew from Wholy Living about using fresh milled flours.

My favorite part of this interview was when Margaret held up several vials that show the difference from the original whole grain to the processed grain that we purchase at the store. What starts as a whole, nutrient dense grain gets so many of the components taken out of it for processing you're left with a carb heavy, nutrient depleted, processed flour!

Margaret will be at the Expo to teach all about using whole grains in your baking. She will also have tons of samples so you can see just how delicious it can be to cook with whole grains.

Here are some of the highlights of the 2024 Alaska Homestead Expo:
