Using Inkscape to create svg files and a Cricut Maker to cut balsa model plane parts. Pt. 1

First of three parts on copying balsa model airplane plans to a .svg file to cut parts on my Cricut Maker machine. I am using Inkscape to trace the parts and save as a .svg file that can be used by my Cricut Maker machine to cut 1/16" thick balsa sheet. The plan is an old Veron plan for a free flight Aeronca Champ.

The second part is how I send the .svg file to Cricut's DesignSpace program and cut the parts.

The third part is a few tips and alternate ways of doing things to streamline things and make the .svg more accurate.
