Demonstration Teacher Carol Sole shows how her 3rd grade students are actively engaged with the text they are working with by using the collaborative, studentled strategy of reciprocal teaching. Using this researchbased approach to reading, students in her class can be seen engaging in meaningful conversations as they take on the roles of predictor, clarifier, summarizer, and questioner in their reading groups.
