The electron transport chain is comprised of 5 complexes including ATP synthase. It uses NADH and FADH2 to create ATP via oxidative phosphorylation.

Electron transport inhibitors are rotenone, antimycin, and cyanide. ATP synthase inhibitors are oligomycin and uncoupling agents are 2,4Dinitrophenol, aspirin, and hermogenin from brown fat.

The irreversible enzymes of gluconeogenesis are: pyruvate carboxylase, phosphoenolpyruvate carboxykinase (PEP carboxykinase), fructose1,6bisphosphatase, and glucose6phosphatase.
