The U.S.S. Dauntless, NCC71879A, departs Earth Spacedock. Dauntless is the second ship of the line to bear the name: the original U.S.S. Dauntless, featured in Star Trek Bridge Commander, was destroyed in action against the Cardassian known as Legate Matan.
