Some ships are very well known. Your Enterprises and Warspites and Bismarcks. Others, however, fall under the radar.
USS Norman Scott is one of the latter. This is a destroyer that tends to slip beneath most notice, in part due to a very short career. However, for all that her active service was short, Scott managed some impressive feats. Most notably, surviving severe damage while engaged in shore bombardment.
She's worth looking at, I think.
