The Bell V280 Valor is a tiltrotor aircraft, developed by Bell Helicopter for the United States Armed Forces. The new aircraft is a future replacement for UH60 Black Hawk helicopters. The V280 has close capacity and cabin layout to the UH60, but has significantly higher speeds and flight ranges: cruising speed 280 knots (520 km/h), range 500800 nmi (9301480 km). The V280 participated in the US Armed Forces tender and was a competitor to the highspeed SikorskyBoeing SB1 Defiant helicopter, defeating it.
