To have a fraud alert placed on your credit file: Contact the three major credit bureaus (Experian, Equifax, and TransUnion)
If you believe your social security number was used to file fraudulent tax returns: Contact the Internal Revenue Service and complete IRS Form 14039 (https://www.irs.gov/pub/irspdf/f1403...) or call 18009084490
