We visited the Vale do Tua Regional Park, from Alijó, going down to S.Mamede de Ribatua, and then taking the scenic road M596 that follows the bank of the Tua river, passing through villages and places of indescribable landscape richness (just passing there ) until we reach Castro de Palheiros, an imposing quartzite crest that was being sculpted and built by the people of the Murça region, from the beginning of the third millennium before Christ to the present. Then we finish our tour enjoying the center of Murça, and observing some of its historic buildings, but mainly the sculptural quality of the facade of its Chapel of Misericordia.
