The time has finally come to share all of the features of our selfbuilt van conversion after 6 months of building through the winter (would not recommend a winter build)!

We wanted to build a van with as much flexibility as possible, as our Transit is the midroof, nonextended length model. Our main priority was ensuring the space we had was multifunctional and used as best as possible, which is why we settled on installing a murphy bed. With the bed up, we have a beautiful, spacious living room complete with an Lshaped bench and tons of storage underneath. When the bed folds down, it feels like a COMPLETELY different van complete with wall storage and shelves behind the bed. The bed is a fullsized double, but it feels bigger than that due to the layout and space around the mattress.

Fitting a wet bathroom was not an option for our van build, so we carry a portapotti under our bench and purchased a swivel faucet for our sink to wash up outside of the van if necessary. We also carry a solar shower for more intensive showers.
