STORY:

On April 13, 2010, AeroUnion Flight 302, an Airbus A300B4203F, prepared to fly from Mexico City to Los Angeles, with a layover in Monterrey. The weather conditions were adverse due to a developing storm. During the approach to Monterrey, the pilots faced issues, losing speed and making mistakes in the plane's configuration. After a missed approach, the plane entered into a stall and crashed near the airport, causing the death of the five crew members and two people on the ground. The accident was attributed to poor cockpit resource management and loss of situational awareness due to high workload and challenging weather conditions. The tilted stabilizer was not the determining cause of the accident. The Take Off Simulations team expresses their condolences to the families of the victims.
