the COSA cover SUPER FLOW is a myth. fake. wrong info. here is a a simple FMP 123 todo guide how to massively improve ur si carb flow. yes, tested in detail ;) no p&c oldschool myth.

0:21 intro blabla
0:56 123 works
1:24 px123 FLOW
1:40 cosa123 FLOW
1:53 FLOW diagrams

2:14 cosa vs px / horizontal, vertical FLOW
2:25 4 bores works
2:32 4 bores FLOW px123
4:18 4 bores FLOW cosa123
5:29 4 bores CONCLUSION

5:36 badguy trick FLOW
7:28 all FLOW diagrams*
7:33 px vs cosa differences

*4bores px123 is 90s, not 80. sry!

is it needed? no. this 123 flow is perfectly fine:   • THE ultimate VESPA 1,2,3 FUEL SUPPLY ...

does it do any harm? no.
why did i make this guide then?

the old 2017 guides:
cosa vs px:    • vespa SI CARB flow problems due2 COSA...
flow comparison:    • vespa SI CARB: difference of COSA and...
both just 6100 clicks in 6 years, lets see what the new one will get
hydrostatic pressure in the frame:    • VESPA fuel supply: HYDROSTATIC PRESSU...

AVOID: standard cosa covers, stick to px, with standard & pnp tuning
PIMP IT: u have one?
a) try px needle, if its tight in the carb, tell me pls, no rotary scoot around currently
b) follow the upcoming "FMPimp fuel chamber cover 1,2,3 guide" ;)

DRT COVER: article text also unclear. wrong info 5.2mm needle of course, but the 0.7mm wider bore could mean that it has a 3mm vertical bore (original is 2,22,3mm over needle tip)
but the price with over 106, is a bad joke, when the piaggio costs 35, and should not be supported.

WHY? so how could this happen, that an article is widely, worldwide sold with obvious wrong info, with the exact opposite effect? (only editing it, makes it faster than PX) when the biggest shop states something, the 2nd biggest copies it of course and all smaller shops, being dealers of the biggest, also just c&p. it simplygoes back to too little qualitymanagement, not checking certain info & statements.

WHERE FROM is the original fake info. the myth. my guess: germanscooterforum, as its quoted in the german article, a sf tuner and mate of mine in 2009. with quite little si carb experience. english text quotes an italian statement out of the sip community (for sure true & facts). even though "lucifer" totally ignored fuel supply (...) ((btw see gsf wiki, i did comment on his famous si pimp tips, which include quite some errors / miss info ie fuel supply)) the myth appeared that cosa cover has HIGHER flow, due to having a thicker 5,2mm needle (technical not explainable) BUT if u correct it: needle is 4mm but the brass shell in the cover, has 5,2mm. bigger shell = higher flow! no its not, u have to consider the ring gap, see here:    • vespa SI CARB: difference of COSA and...   BUT even though the gap area is bigger, yes, its has a lower flow rate. why is that so? hydrodynamics are not that simple, there are more factors involved than just: the bigger, the better. ie there is the pressure, shape & dimension of tubes, venturi or not etc. ;)

SADLY: no one ever measured or tested it. just took a myth out of a forum.
qualitymanagement ole. perfect example, how profit comes very first, not correct info or best articles for the costumer.

MEASUREMENTS: yes, i did measure way more often, just showing 3x, to underline the correct times. i am aware of this fact since 2017, my first measurement, this info still isnt shared properly, thought its worth documenting it again and better. i also tested some optimizing, a 1,2,3 guide coming up.

cheers!
