Vespa GTS Return: Repair Instead of Replacement

My 2006 Vespa GTS 250 was in need of a lot of maintenance, repairs, and restoration after almost 45 thousand miles of rough use. I considered the cost of those repairs, the cost of buying a newer used scooter, or a brand new one. The financial math supported repair. But concerns regarding reliability of such an old Vespa GTS made me wonder. Now that I have it back here's the verdict on my decision to repair, maintain, and restore the scooter.

All the work was done by Tim Papinchak, owner of Windber Cycle Works in Windber, Pennsylvania. Tim has been working on motorcycles, scooters, and ATVs for over 40 years.
