In this video I repair and restore a well used and abused Dawn 5 SP Vice.
Dawn vices are made in Australia. 5 Inch Standard Pattern.
I found out that this vice had a broken piece only after I took it all apart so I bought some new welding equipment and had a crack at fixing it.
This tool has so many imperfections but since it's going back to work I did not want to overdo the grinding and polishing.
However I still wanted to give it a unique look with a Chameleon / Colour shifting paint so it will look different depending on light and angle of observation.
