About Vikram Sarabhai:

Dr. Vikram Ambalal Sarabhai was an Indian physicist and an astronomer who started the space research organization and initiated the nuclear power plant in India.
Because of his achievement, he is regarded as the
Father of the Indian space program.

Sarabhai started a project for the fabrication and launch of an Indian Satellite.
As a result, the first Indian satellite, Aryabhata, was put in orbit in 1975 from a Russian Cosmodrome.

Dr. Vikram Sarabhai was born on 12 August 1919 in the city of Ahmedabad, Gujarat State in western India.
