Here's a video I have wanted to do for some time. Things recently came together with my vintage reel to reel deck going to the shop, and a beautiful Studer Revox A77 here to fill in while my Pioneer RT 707 is being repaired.
That deck has been out of service for a decade, so It's been great to experience this format once again on a much improved system.
The heart of the video is a vinyl disc to reel to reel tape comparison with a Mercury Living Presence recording of Gershwin's Rhapsody In Blue with Howard Hanson and The Eastman Rochester Orchestra. The results were VERY interesting!
