Michelle H. Harrell is the Coordinator of Teen and College Programs at the NC Museum of Art. She received her Associate of Arts degree from Peace College and her BFA and MAEd from East Carolina University. After 13 years of teaching middle and high school art, she began a position in 2010 to develop teen and college programs at the NCMA. In her role as project manager for this grantfunded project to create online courses, Michelle continues to explore topics related to her Master's thesis: Interactive Technology as a Tool for Student Centered Learning in the Art Classroom.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, selforganized events that bring people together to share a TEDlike experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, selforganized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
