"Vodarki" (Water Carriers) a mixture of traditional songs and dances mostly from Eastern Vardar Region, and the costumes are from Tetovo (Western Vardar) Region. Performed by Ensemble "Tanec" Skopje

The "Water Carriers" dance send us back to the times when women and maidens went to fetch water from probably the only drinking fountain around. On that spot they gathered, met each other to rest, talk, to "hear the news". And that was also the spot where young bachelors gathered to see their "darlings", sure that they would turn up.
