Just a very short EX30 test in ambient temperature 21 Celsius. Sensor refresh rate is very slow every 1530 seconds, definitely the slowest ping among all vehicles I tested.

When you turn MAX heat, the cabin PTC heater turns on briefly (67 kW) then the heatpump takes over and runs at 2 kW, later probably settles down to 1kW 0.8 kW. When aircon is ON, car consumes only 0.60.8 kW, without HVAC (aircon/heating) car uses only 0.250.3 kW.

EX30 becomes sluggish below 50% SOC acceleration is slower with battery below 50%.

EX30 has no Start button at all HV battery is energised when you open the car (like Tesla, Polestar 2). All EVs should be like this, no strain on 12V battery. The Korean EVs are the exact opposite (with many 12V issues as a consequence, see my recent videos).

SOC scale is NOT fully linear (based on Smart #3 tests by Bjorn Nyland). There is more kWh energy in upper half of SOC than in the lower parts of the SOC scale.

Battery preheating takes 9 kW, tested in stationary vehicle (not in this video). Battery is heated to 30°C (86°F).

Volvo electric XC40/C40 will wake up every 60 minutes to check the 12v battery. I am really curious how often the EX30 wakes up (when locked) to check the condition of the 12V battery.
