On the 4th October 2015 the Avro Vulcan XH558 took part in its last public air display at Old Warden (Biggleswade Airfield) in the UK. Like all of the last few events involving the Vulcan, the airshow was sold out long before the day. However, the beautiful setting of Ickwell Green in the shadow of a 250 year old oak tree, was just a few fields away from the airfield and provided an amazing vantage point to watch and to share the occasion with many hundreds of onlookers.
It was a hazy day but considering the early October date, it was lovely weather.
