From Season 4 of Walt Disney's Disneyland Anthology program we have Episode 4: The Saga of Andy Burnett, Part 1, "Andy's Initiation" which originally aired on October 2nd, 1957, starring Jerome Courtland, Jeff York, Andrew Duggan and Slim Pickens. Set in 1820, the first part of The Saga of Andy Burnett begins with young Andy Burnett eating dinner in a Pittsburgh tavern. He befriends Joe Crane, a penniless Mountain Man who comes to Andy's aid when a gang of thugs attacks him. Crane recognizes Andy's rifle as one made by Daniel Boone, which was given to Gail Burnett, Andy's grandfather and a true pioneer. Despite such a heritage, Andy is heading west to become a farmera prospect that dismays Crane. He decides to "persuade" Andy to head into the mountains with him and "borrows" Andy's money so he doesn't have a choice.
