Throughout his life Adolf Hitler suffered from stomach pains and bouts of diarrhoea. he probably had IBS. To treat these symptoms he tried a varitey of medications including an old WW1 trench remedy based on guncleaning oil. Unsuprisingly it didnt work!

Hitler's hated to be touched and examined by doctors and so, when he met Dr Theodor Morell, a celebrity doctor and selfstyled pioneer in Vitamin injections, who promised a cure without any need to prying questions or examinations, he was delighted.

However, Hitler was a demanding patient nonetheless... and when he fell ill in 1941, Morell wasted no time in prescribing any number of unusual pills and injections to treat the ailing Fuhrer. Hormones and steroids from pig's heart, liver and pancreas. Extracts of bull's testicles. Morphine, methamphetamine, leeches, enemas, oils and cocaine. Over the years, more and more drugs were added to Hitler's daily pharmacholgical diet to ward off any chance of a repeat illness. Addiction was a nearcertainty.
