A constructive dialogue is always better than just monologuing into a camera, so I appreciate the opportunity to discuss this topic in more detail. The reproduction of Sephiroth's Masamune that I handled at Medieval Depot was made as a wallhanger, and its floppiness was part of the lack of functionality. There are real twohanded swords in history that could be the height of the user or even longer, and those did indeed work in battle.

However, Sephiroth's design is a little different, and not quite as functional. Let's talk about why.
