Wat Thai of Los Angeles is located at 8225 Coldwater Canyon Avenue, North Hollywood Los Angeles near the intersection between Roscoe Blvd and Coldwater Canyon Ave. Wat Thai of Los Angeles is the largest Thai Buddhist Temple in Los Angeles. Visitors can take Metro Bus number 152 & 167 and get off at the front gate of Temple. Cross Coldwater Canyon Ave is the Pratunum Thai Market.
Wat Thai Food Court is located inside Wat Thai of Los Angeles. Every Saturday &Sunday from 7:30 Am to 5 PM, there is a Thai street Food Court held inside Temple concourse. Visitors need to exchange money into tokens, then use tokens to buy food. There are two kinds of token Pink one is $1 and Blue one is $2. Average $20 per person. Tokens are refundable. There are two rows of vendors. Large dining area and token booth at the center. There are also some tables around the vendors.
Alms Giving Ceremony with tradition Thai music is held here today. Alms Giving to Monks (known as 'Tak Bart' in Thai) is a Buddhist morning ritual that has been a Thai tradition for centuries. Guests can participate, offering food to the monks and receiving in exchange a Sanskrit prayer as a blessing.
