After many back and forth email conversations with one of the owners of Motionrc named Tom, Recently had about a 2 hour phone call with the owner of motion RC and we had a very good conversation about the Mig 29 and other things. and I was pleasantly surprised to hear that they were going to compensate me for the Mig29. I Really did have a good conversation with the owner Tom and he is in tune with what's going on and things said about the Mig in the forums... I came to the conclusion that the company is still a very good... they seem to care a lot about their customers and take customer service seriously they just have to be careful about how they go about compensating people because to my surprise, they get a lot of false claims or unsupported unsubstantiated complaints that cant be verified. He explained they have to be extra careful and methodical in how they compensate people when claims are submitted so that they do not send the wrong message to the consumer (and go out of business )...but yes we came to an agreement and I will be compensated for the Mig29 after an exhaustive research and verification process.
It was nice to hear from the owner and actually speak to someone that still fly's and enjoys the hobby as much as everybody else does. We also talked about the problems with the Blue Box and other theories around the blue Box that weren't actually true. We talked about how these airplanes are rigorously tested before production and the whole production process...apparently these cheap foam airplanes are far from being cheap to make, for instance the electronics in them are actually very good quality and thoroughly tested which doesn't come cheap. They also have people at the factory to make sure their level of quality is there and consistent.
We chatted about how sometimes you have anomalies in these airplanes after production that have to be addressed and other unforeseen issues that have to be worked out. But overall they are listening, making adjustments and always evolving.
