Water Island is a short trip from Charlotte Amalie, you'll actually take a small boat to Water Island not a ferry. The boat leaves from crown bay marina, and water island has a perfect cove / calm water to learn to snorkel. You'll be able to rent snorkel gear here too, there's a spot to get food and drinks and restrooms. While waiting for the boat to leave we met a guy named Stanley. He told us how he sailed to the islands long ago, lives on his boat and even films a bit. Check out his channel below
