In this video I'm showing you all the basics of creating color charts, how to mix watercolor to make a large variety of colors, and how to study one color to fully understand its capabilities. Watercolor color charting can be so helpful when you're painting to inspire you to create new combinations you haven't tried, and to help you know how to get to the color that you want. This year I'll be creating different color studies based on the colors in my palette. The colors I used here are:
Viridian
Burnt Umber
Opera Rose
Alizarin Crimson
Cad Red
Cad Orange
Yellow Ochre
Winsor yellow
Sap green
French ultramarine Blue
Prussian Blue
Violet
Cerulean Blue
