Imagine what your dream cake should look like, draw it, and then color it using oil pastels.


In this tutorial you will learn about American Artist Wayne Thiebaud’s Cake paintings and learn about repetition, perspective, composition, shadows, highlights, color contrast and texture.



Materials used:


Paper 9x12, pencil, eraser, water soluble oil pastels (I prefer them for this project because they are creamier than regular oil pastels and blend better) or regular oil pastels.
