Today's Daily Shave is all about the hardware. I picked up the WCS Lithe razor and the Honeycomb 3band Finest Badger brush during the Black Friday sale and have gotten to know them well over the past couple of months.

When I heard that West Coast Shaving had partnered with Brian Twilley of Charcoal Goods to create a low cost razor that shaved way above its price point, I had to have it! There are tons of awesome razors out there right now, but a lot of them are very expensive. They set out to shake things up and I believe they have. This thing is incredibly smooth and easy to use but still delivers a great shave. The top cap is a unique design that makes the proper angle super easy to find and maintain. The chrome plating on this thing is unbelievable given its price point. I find that it slides super easily over my skin. If you enjoy mild razors, this is a no brainer. If you prefer a more aggressive shave, you are in luck! Two more razors heads are coming a more aggressive version and an open comb version. I'll be picking up both!

If this isn't your first visit to the Daily Shave, you've probably seen a lot of these honeycomb brushes. They have been around a while and so many people have had good things to say about them that I decided to grab one while it was on sale. I love the handle design classic yet comfortable. The weight it just right. The knot is quite densely packed! Like the Lithe razor, this knot punches above its price. The backbone on it is noticeable but not so much to make it hard to splay that's right in my sweet spot. It also releases lather beautifully. The tips have just a bit of scrub (NO SCRITCH!) and feel great on the face. Whether it's your first badger or your 15th, I think the honeycomb would be a great addition to most dens.
