Caris Hermes, winner of the WDR Jazz Prize 2024, performs her own compositions together with the WDR BIG BAND under the direction of Steffen Schorn (arrangements). The WDR Jazz Award ceremony is presented by Götz Alsmann. Another musical guest singing is Maika Küster. Recorded live at the Pantheon in Bonn (March 2024).

The WDR Jazz Prize has been awarded for exactly 20 years to musicians who work or live in North RhineWestphalia. The WDR Big Band is a reliable partner when it comes to realizing the compositions of the winners. This year, prizewinner Caris Hermes and the WDR Big Band are touring NRW together for the first time. Cologne bassist Caris Hermes impressed the WDR Jazz Prize jury with her "stylistic impartiality, rhythmic agility and joy in playing together."
