This has been a very difficult week for all of us. We needed to clear space for the construction of a new barn. Like bears, we cut down the thickets that had formed here over decades.
These were not cultivated trees, but thickets of plum trees, many maple shoots and other weed trees that are of no value. All the trees were infected with fungi due to their dense location and many of them were already broken. The best solution was to remove them and plant new ones in the fall.
It took almost the entire week to clear the site.

The rain also made it difficult and stopped the work, but we almost finished clearing and reached the forest itself.
