Today is the first day of July, sooo Happy National Blood Donors Month! To start this month off, I dragged some friends along with me to donate blood in the Philippine Blood Center (PBC) to help raise awareness on the safety and need of blood donations even during a pandemic.

What's great about PBC is that even if it's a medical institution, visiting it is safe because it's not a hospital, and therefore you won't encounter any COVID19 patient! Of course, they also make sure to follow proper protocols when it comes to social distancing, wearing of face masks, and proper disinfection!

Because our country spent the last few months in quarantine, the blood pack reserves of PBC have started to run low. As compared to 40005000 blood donations a month, it has gone down to only 10%, or about 400500 donors a month. Hopefully now that quarantine measures have become more lenient, you can consider dropping by to donate! It only takes 2030 mins of your time!
