Autumn van life in Japan has well and truly begun! Hokkaido in the north of Japan is the first place in the country to experience koyo (紅葉) otherwise known as fall foliage and in this video we head back to the Daisetsuzan National Park to Sounkyo onsen town, one of Japan's top locations to view autumn leaves.

After viewing the autumn leaves in Sounkyo town, we are faced with the issue of finding somewhere to spend the night since the camp site we had originally planed to stay at is closed. We have nowhere to stay for the night and need to drive around and find a suitable place. Van life in Japan is not always easy!
