Going into Concord, many were wondering what PlayStation saw in the game to warrant outright purchasing the studio ahead of consumers seeing anything. For some, it was encouraging. For others, it signaled a panic purchase as the company best known for smash hit single player titles desperately tried to claw their way into the unfamiliar live service genre.
