In this weathering tutorial I demonstrate my technique for giving these newest Tier 4's a realistic weathered look. My primary technique uses acrylic washes to build color. I use gray, white, black, burnt umber, and light brown to alter color and add grime to the engine, finishing the model with weathering powder. Give these techniques a try on your Tier 4 or any other locomotive in your fleet!
