This is a set of Weber IDA from 1966. In this set, the floats had completely collapsed. Along with the usual cleaning, polishing, and rebuilding, we added some updates. The updates included removing the Wshaped throttle connector, an adjustable throttle link, an axe head cam, along with all new spansil floats. Most of the brass jetting was also replaced, as age and reaming can take their toll.
We like to use a clear coat aluminum finish from Cerakote. This will keep the carburetor set looking like new.
A run test is great for checking function, but as we say, "no load is no test", and a test drive will confirm all is well.
