During the past decades, the Earth science community has witnessed an explosive growth in the volume of geospatial datasets resulting from the proliferation of openaccess satellite data streams. The large volumes of openaccess satellite data pose significant challenges to the Earth science community. Download and analysis of multidecadal satellite images over large regions are impractical using desktop computing resources. In this presentation, I will introduce some opensource packages for interactive mapping and geospatial analysis in the cloud, such as leafmap, geemap, and whiteboxgui. Users can utilize the Python ecosystem of diverse libraries and tools to create interactive maps and perform largescale geospatial analysis with minimal coding via a web browser. I will also provide some useful resources that can be adopted for research and teaching at the university level.
