The Wednesdays.for.Water session on, 'Water Laws & Policies in India', focus is on the nuances of the legal and regulatory framework of the water on paper and in practice. The session speakers are Supreme Court Lawyer Avadhesh Pratap and Prof. Sujith Koonan from JNU Delhi and Simran Sumbre is the Discussant. Sujith orients the session with the philosophy of having the laws and policies and what that means to conserve the water resources. Avadhesh then takes the session into cases that appropriated some of the laws and policies in conserving the water resources or compromising it for development. The session is moderated by Dr Mansee Bal Bhargava.
