Ok, so we had originally planned and had started to work on the previous quarter that had been welded on by someone else. But the customer really was'nt happy with it and ordered up another one and got us to weld it on.
We couldn't work out how they had spot welded up in the tiny gap from the manufacturer, but I suppose they have all the right tools for the job.
We can see that the bloke that welded the quarters on previous had welded both ends and the bottom and arch, but had bonded the top seam.
So we used the best glue we knew of, it was one we used to use at our previous previous job working on commercial vehicles, its called KoraPur 666 which is a 2pack polyurethane glue which goes rock hard.
Lets just hope the quarter doesn't have to come back off again!!!
